Waterford – Emergency personnel responded Friday night to the Millstone Power Station after a security officer fell off a ladder.

Kenneth Holt, spokesman for Millstone owner Dominion, said the officer hurt her leg in the fall in the Unit 3 auxiliary building. Unit 3 is one of the two operating nuclear reactors at the power station. The height of the fall and her exact condition are unknown, he said.

“It was serious enough to require a trip to the hospital,” he said of the 7:30 p.m. fall.
