Pedestrian struck by car in Groton

Groton – A man was sent to the hospital with minor injuries Monday after being hit by a car while walking on Toll Gate Road.

Police said the man suffered a leg injury after being hit around 5:10 p.m. near Peters Drive. The man was walking along Toll Gate, a residential roadway with only areas of sidewalk that runs parallel to Route 184.

The female driver was uninjured, police said.
