    Make a difference: Reliance House

    WHO: Mary.

    AGENCY: Reliance House. Inc., Norwich.

    SITUATION: Mary is a 42-year-old wife and mother diagnosed with major depressive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and panic disorder. Mary's husband is disabled and unable to provide for the family or share home and child care responsibilities at this time. Mary and family recently had to vacate their apartment on short notice, leaving most of their belongings behind. Mary and her 9-year-old daughter are staying with friends. Mary's primary goal now is for them to have a home of their own for Christmas. Mary is a devoted wife and mother and a very caring and giving person. Her daughter's well-being is her greatest concern.

    WHAT TO GIVE: Daughter: Stuffed animals and fabric dolls, women's size 16-18 clothing (sweats, school uniforms, pajamas, winter coat). Mother: Women's 4x-5x clothing (sweats, winter coat). Family: Twin- and queen-size mattress and box spring along with sheets, blankets and pillows. Towels, wash cloths, dish towels. Any furniture or household items that are not fabric material would be greatly appreciated as well.
