Panera raising funds for Sandy victims

Twenty-five Panera Bread/Howley Bread Group bakery-cafes in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts will participate in Panera's American Red Cross Fridays fundraiser to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. Panera Bread will donate 5 percent of all Panera Gift Card purchases, up to $5,000, on Friday, Dec. 14 and 21. The fundraiser also was held this past Friday.

Local Panera Breads are located in Waterford, Groton and Lisbon and at Foxwoods Casino. Other Connecticut stores are in Bristol, Canton, Enfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, Manchester, Newington, West Hartford and Wethersfield.
