The Westerly-Pawcatuck Young Professionals Network, an initiative of the Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Chamber of Commerce, will hold a networking event at The Twisted Vine on Canal Street in Westerly from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The event is free and open to young professionals between the ages of 21 and 45 who live and/or work in the greater Westerly-Pawcatuck area. Appetizers will be provided by The Twisted Vine and a cash bar will be available.

This month WYPN will be accepting gifts from its members as it has adopted one family from the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center and two teenagers from the Jonnycake Center of Westerly.

WYPN offers networking, community involvement and social opportunities to energize local young professionals. Membership is open and not restricted to chamber members. Pre-registration online at www.westerlychamber.org is encouraged before 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

In lieu of a Third Thursday event in January, the WYPN will hold a special event Jan. 25 to both celebrate its first anniversary as well as encourage networking.
