Jim Auclair, light equipment operator with the City of Groton Parks and Recreation Department, dumps a load of sand Wednesday while clearing sand from the park area and returning it to the beach at Eastern Point Beach in Groton. Auclair said he started to clean up the sand after Hurricane Sandy but then had to stop for a while to take care of work at Washington Park before winter weather hits. Auclair returned to cleaning up Eastern Point Beach late last week.
