New London Police said they arrested 31-year-old city resident Fernando Munoz-Paredes two times in one week for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Munoz-Paredes, of 41 Hawthorne Drive North, Apt., Unit 4, was arrested Dec. 8 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after he was stopped in the area of 36 Bank St., according to police.

He was stopped again at 1:45 a.m. Saturday. Police said they pulled him over on South Water Street and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, making an improper turn and failure to wear a seat belt.

Munoz-Paredes will be arraigned in New London Superior on Dec. 21 on all the charges.
