New London police investigate robbery of laundromat

New London — Police are investigating the Monday night armed robbery of the Granny Smith Laundromat at 191 Jefferson Ave.

Police said the suspect displayed a firearm and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as a white male or a light-skinned Hispanic. The incident was reported at 7:45 p.m.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call police at (860) 447-1481.
