Culture of violence needs to change

Our hearts go out to the innocent children and staff that lost their lives at Sandy Hook Elementary School and their families and friends. In honor of their memory we need to take a close look at the culture of violence that has grown in the United States in movies, video games, and TV. We and our government representatives need to protect our children from this and put pressure on companies that make money from this exploitation.

Also I think it is important to remember in this fast-paced life that our children need quality attention and guidance from their parents. We need to remove some activity scheduling from all our lives, especially the children's. Let "kids be kids" with more play - a great stress reliever, and less homework. (I don't know if longer school days, that has been discussed lately, is a good move.)
