New England Seascapes and Landscapes: Bill Revill's paintings

Bill Revill is a Meriden artist who had not painted since childhood until six years ago when made an attempt to paint a Hammonasset seascape. The result was not a complete disaster and in the years since, Bill has taken classes and private lessons to hone his eye and his skills. His professional background is not in the arts, but in Social Services, and recently retired from state service to pursue painting, photography [he is also having a photography show at the Buttonwood Tree in Middletown through early January] and other interests. He also hosts a weekly folk /Americana music radio show, “Acoustic Blender” on Middletown’s WESU-FM, Tuesday evenings.

Bill's show at the Mercy Center will be up until January 25, 2013. This exhibit highlights Bill’s love and appreciation of his native New England. The paintings on exhibit include some of his seascapes of neighboring Hammonasset, Cape Cod, New Hampshire’s Star Island as well as landscapes of Connecticut and Vermont.

If you are interested in following Bill’s artwork, please visit his website at www.billrevill.com and you can also follow Bill Revill Art on facebook.

30% of sales from this show are being donated to the Mercy Center. The Mercy Center is located at 167 Neck Road in Madison (turn just before of Our Lady of Mercy School).
