Voters should directly OK Washington raises

The senators and congressmen and women voted into office I presume work for the people who placed them there. However there seems to be a question on when they work and, when they do work, what they accomplish - if anything at all.

It is my humble opinion that if they truly work for us then we should have the pleasure of determining any pay raises they receive during their time in office and how much. To do this we should have a place on the ballot determining what they should receive (per state). Such as: None, 1 percent, 2 percent, 3 percent, but none higher than 3 percent. The highest percent voted upon being what they would receive, if anything.
