Single copies to cost $1

Effective Monday the price of single copies of The Day sold in retail stores rose to $1 for the Monday through Saturday editions. At vendor boxes, this change began in phases on Tuesday, with all boxes converted by Jan. 12.

The daily price sticker on each box will indicate when it has been converted.
