Norwich – Police say a man armed with a knife robbed a Franklin Street bar Wednesday night.

A track, using a police canine, of the black male suspect came up empty, Lt. Chris Ladd said, after the man, wearing a tan coat, fled Chacers Bar and Grill around 10:30 p.m.

Ladd said the man threatened a bartender with a knife before fleeing the establishment at 78 Franklin St. with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.
