Police logs - Jan. 4

East Lyme

Katherine Amero, 46, of 39 Beckwith Road, Montville, was charged Thursday with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Groton City

Desmond Ballinger, 22, of 97 Mather Ave. was charged Wednesday with third-degree assault of an elderly person, disorderly conduct, second-degree unlawful restraint, interfering with an emergency call, third-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor.

Sherman C. Norman, 31, of 27 Jay St., New London, was charged Thursday with two counts of first-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief, creating a public disturbance, disorderly conduct, interfering with a police officer and failure to submit to fingerprinting.

Stephen Early, 20, of 51 Lower Boulevard was charged Thursday with breach of peace.

Dwayne Coleman, 49, of 22 Willetts Ave. Apt. 2, was charged Thursday with second-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace.

Ricardo Ortiz, 43, of 15 Nob Hill Road Apt. D, was charged Wednesday with violation of a protective order.

Norwich

Gregory Martell, 47, of 41 Taftville-Occum Road was charged Wednesday with driving an unregistered motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.

State police - Montville

Brian Langlois, 54, of Putnam was charged Wednesday in Montville with violation of probation.
