Mashantucket — State police casino unit has charged a Dedham, Mass. man with stealing four Rolex watches worth $73,800 from the Foxwoods Watch Co. inside the Grand Pequot Casino on Dec. 30.

Police said that Thomas W. Nee, 41, entered the back room of the store, forced his way into a locked display case and stole the watches. He then ran out of the casino and took a tour bus back to the Chinatown section of Boston.

Police identified him on Wednesday and on Thursday, while casino unit detectives applied for an arrest warrant charging him with first-degree larceny, they and Massachusetts police monitored locations where Nee was believed to be. They then took him into custody when the warrant was issued. Nee waived extradition when he appeared in Dorchester Superior Court on Friday and was returned to Connecticut. He is being held on a $75,000 bond and is slated to appear in New London Superior Court Monday.
