The Ledge Light Health District is offering two series of free smoking cessation classes in Waterford and Gales Ferry beginning this week.
The six-week series will take place at the Waterford Public Library on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 starting Wednesday, Jan. 9 through Feb. 13; and on Thursdays at the Gales Ferry Library from 9 to 10:30 a.m. from Thursday, Jan. 10 to Feb. 14.
The classes will cover nicotine addiction and the brain; how to deconstruct your smoking behavior; NRT and medication options; how to reduce and manage triggers; how to create the right quit plan for you; and how to stay smoke-free for life.
