Groton - Community Health Center, Inc. opens their newest school-based health center Thursday, Jan. 10, at Groton’s Marine Science Magnet High School. An open house is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
The center will offer on-site medical and behavioral health care along with mobile dental services.
Students who are enrolled in their school-based health center can receive a flu vaccine or be tested for the flu using a Rapid Flu Test. Students without health insurance receive free services and are provided assistance in determining their eligibility for a public health insurance program, such as HUSKY.
Community Health Center, Inc. provides medical, behavioral health or dental care in more than 100 schools across the state.
