Waterford man charged with firing shots at his home

Waterford — A Quaker Hill man was arrested early Saturday morning after police said gunshots were heard coming from his house on Cinderella Lane.

Andrew Malerba, 25, of 6 Cinderella Lane, was charged with breach of peace and unlawful discharge of a firearm. He was released on a promise to appear in New London Superior Court Jan. 25.

Police said they received a several 911 calls at 2:17 a.m. reporting the sound of multiple gunshots coming from Malerba’s home. Police investigated, identified Malerba and apprehended him. In addition they seized handguns, rifles, a shotgun and a small amount of ammunition. Police reported no injuries.
