Westerly -- The Westerly Hospital Area Residents Committee and The Westerly Hospital will host a gathering for the community to hear an update on the mastership process and related topics from 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 24 at the hospital’s Henry J. Nardone Conference Center.

The public will also have a chance to ask questions.

The event will feature Attorney Mark Russo, special master, who will discuss the progress toward completion of the acquisition by L+M Hospital; Steven Hartford, Westerly town manager, who will share the perspective of the Westerly Area Resident’s Committee, and Dr. Christopher Lehrach, chief transformation officer/interim operations, who will describe some of the latest initiatives under consideration to help strengthen the hospital.

“We remain committed to providing the latest and most accurate information as we move steadily toward completion of this process and to assuring the strongest future for the Hospital,” Russo said in a news release.
