Broadcasting for a Safe Future

The 18th Annual Men Against Domestic Violence Radiothon, which benefits Safe Futures, kicks off Friday, Jan. 25, at 5 a.m. Sponsor stations WCTY 97.7, WNLC 98.7 FM and WICH 1310 AM will feature programming until 6 p.m. about Safe Futures and its mission to serve women, children and men affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Listeners may call in to (860) 886-1515 to make tax-deductible donations and pledges to Safe Futures, formerly the Women's Center of Southeastern Connecticut. Donations also will be accepted online at www.SafeFuturesCT.org.

The Radiothon also kicks off Safe Futures' Men Against Domestic Violence 1,000 Men Campaign, which culminates on Father's Day with full-page advertisements listing the names of men and boys who pledge to take a stand against all forms of violence against women.
