Norwich — A car shortly after midnight crashed into the Patch & Leather shop at 756 North Main St.
Police said there is significant damage to the sidewall of the business.
The 12:09 a.m. incident is under investigation, and police said they could not provide further details at this time.
Fire Battalion Chief Brad Keltonic said firefighters also responded to the crash. He said the car drove through a cinder block wall and aluminum siding before making its way halfway through the motorcycle accessory business. He said the driver had apparently fled the scene.
He said fire crews secured the building and made sure that there were no other hazards.
No injuries were reported.
