					<p><p>Included in Governor Dannel Malloy's proposed budget is a provision to slash personal property taxes paid to town government on the value of motor vehicles residents own.</p>
<p>Westbrook Town Finance Director Andrew Urban estimates that if the state budget&nbsp;proposal were adopted, the Town of Westbrook would lose $1.1 million in tax revenue per&nbsp;year. Currently, the Town of Westbrook has over $52 million in motor vehicle value in its Grand List of Taxable Property.&nbsp;</p></p>
