Norwich - Connecticut Tigers fans can get a taste of Philadelphia this summer at the Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium.

The Tigers have partnered with Philly's: A Taste of Philadelphia of Norwich to bring authentic Philly cheesesteaks to Dodd Stadium. Owner Shem Adams will sell cheesesteaks, hoagies and other items from his Sherman Street restaurant at all 38 Tigers' home games and special events at Dodd Stadium.

The Tigers' season opens June 17 against the Lowell Spinners, the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.

Philly's features "The Bully" sandwich, which consists of extra steak meat, fried onions, mushrooms, peppers, pickles and Cheese Whiz that has been rated one of the best sandwiches in America by The Travel Channel. The restaurant also features specialty fries prepared daily by Adams, a Philadelphia native, and his staff.

"We are proud to sponsor and partner up with Connecticut Tigers," Adams said. "We are excited for the opportunity. Be sure to come visit us when the season starts."
