Board of Education to Act Feb. 25 on Construction Documents

On Monday, Feb. 25, the Board of Education will hold a Special Meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Adams Chorus Room. One of the agenda items will be to take action on the construction documents for the new Guilford High School (GHS). Members of the GHS Building Committee will also be present at the meeting.

At a Special Meeting of the Board of Education on Feb. 4, Superintendent of Schools Paul Freeman reviewed the construction documents and their fulfillment of the educational specifications.

Following approval by the board, the State Bureau of School Facilities will review the plans on March 4 and 5. Following state approval of the construction documents, the GHS Building Committee will oversee the bidding process this spring. Construction on the new high school is anticipated to begin this summer.
