Harbor News/Shore Publishing again was recognized for journalism and advertising excellence on a regional stage. The New England News and Press Association announced winners of its annual Better Newspaper Competition on Feb. 9 and the following team members were singled out for their accomplishments. Living Section Editor Meredith Crawford won second prize for living page or section in a weekly publication.
The Guilford Courier staff won second place for newspaper-designed advertising insert in the weekly class (Page Hardware) and The Sound staff took third place for printed ad supplement/special section (the Branford Chamber Guide).
In the weekly class, designers Jennifer Corthell and Julie Eckart Johnson of The Source took home second and third in the best designer category.
