East Lyme - A 27-year-old Niantic man suffered a broken leg and facial injuries after police said he was hit by a vehicle Tuesday while walking across an East Lyme intersection.
Trevor Blize, of 215 Main St. in Niantic was taken by a Niantic Fire Department Ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London for treatment following the 6:09 p.m. accident, police said.
East Lyme police said Blize was hit by an eastbound Honda Odyssey driven by Bekure Williams, 37, of Waterford, at the intersection of Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The vehicle sustained damage to the front hood and windshield.
Police issued Blize, who they said was not in a crosswalk, a warning for not granting right of way.
