The Indians' girls' ice hockey team scored a big 2-0 shutout win over defending state champion Hall/Conard on the road on Feb. 16 as the Indians closed the regular season 11-9.

Guilford took the game with a pair of first-period tallies, first from Bella Isnard at 9:58, and then from Nicole Raccuia at 5:18. Bryanna Occhiboi and Tessa Mackey had assists in the win. Despite being outshot 38-21, Edy Moritz made all 38 stops in net. The win came two days after the Indians defeated Hand 5-0 on Feb. 14.

"This was a great wayto wrap up our regular season by beating last year's state champions at their rink," said Coach Gil Schaper. "This was the best game we played all year; great individual efforts by Moritz, Sarah Rosadini, as well as Tess Cianciolo. It was a very memorable win for the team and our seniors. Every player did their part to make it possible; very proud of everyone."
