Little snow expected in southeast Connecticut; winter weather advisory north

The National Weather Service predicts the southeast Connecticut shoreline area will experience rain and some snow before midnight Saturday, rain during the overnight and a return to the rain and trace of snow mix Sunday morning prior to 9 a.m. Little or no accumulation is expected.

In northern New London County, in the Colchester area, there is a winter weather advisory as sleet is added to the rain and snow outlook. The weather service indicates the accumulation estimate is minimal in the next 24 hours with less than a half inch expected. The weather advisory for the Colchester area remains in effect from 6 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday.
