We have gone over the cliff, not the fiscal cliff, but the ecological cliff.

One-hundred year events, storms, fires, earthquakes, etc., are happening with frightening regularity across the globe. This does not mean global warming is not natural, but it is the speed at which it is happening that is alarming.

As the use of carbon-based fuels, by humans, has increased, so has global warming. We have created a geometric, not arithmetic, progression.

The technology to reduce carbon emission will take decades. There are, however, things we can do for civilization. As sea levels rise we must limit population growth at the sea shores. We must also protect the electrical grid from cyber strikes and use renewables for that grid. We must save the only planet we now can live on.
