Junior Shabazz Napier's playing status will be a game-time decision for Saturday's Big East game at Cincinnati, according to media reports.
Napier injured his right foot in Thursday's double overtime loss to Georgetown. It's the same foot that he had surgery on last summer.
The Huskies arrived in Cincinnati Friday night. Napier, who didn't practiced Friday, has been wearing a protective boot since Thursday night.
Napier has been one of the team's most durable players this season. He's appeared in every game, averaging a team-high 37 minutes. He's also the top scorer at 17.1 points per game.
No one means more to the Huskies this season than Napier, an inspirational leader and point guard.
UConn beat Cincinnati, 73-66, in overtime in the first meeting on Feb. 21. Napier had 27 points.
It will be much tougher to beat the Bearcats a second time if Napier sits out.
After playing Saturday, the Huskies have just two games remaining, visiting South Florida Wednesday and hosting Providence on March 9 in Storrs.
