Gov. Malloy's assault weapon definition, mimicking Sen. Feinstein's, would make semi-auto handguns an assault weapon. Did Vice President Biden bring this from Washington when he visited?
Using the old trick of "smoke and mirrors" politicians hold up the AR-15 as a visual villain, then attach numerous unrelated weapons because, "we don't need them."
Using the power of the pulpit they convince people who are not knowledgeable or interested in the sport of shooting, or collecting, that these are "killing machines." We are being told Connecticut needs to set the example for the rest of the country. In what, stupidity?
Pass ineffective laws that everyone agrees wouldn't have prevented a horrific event like Sandy Hook, drive out companies that provide multi-millions in revenue for the state. Biden or Malloy, whoever is running this state, doesn't want to lose the initiative, using the death of these children to pass a personal goal - gun control (which Biden has been trying to do for decades).
We have amendments in our Constitution to protect us from the government forcing its will on us. Politicians being what they are, try to convince the uninformed to go around them.
