Workers with New London Main Street construct a temporary synthetic ice skating rink on the Parade Wednesday in downtown New London. The rink is scheduled to open on Dec. 3 during New London's Celebration of Lights and Song from around the world.
City officials hope a new synthetic skating rink in New London will bring more people downtown during the winter months to use the skating facility.
