Thursday's CIAC events postponed

All Thursday night sporting events involving local high schools were postponed due to weather concerns.

In the CIAC girls' basketball tournament, the Class M quarterfinal with Montville at Notre Dame-Fairfield has been postponed until today.

Second round games in the CIAC boys' basketball tournament - including Waterford at Bunnell of Stratford in Class L and Nonnewaug of Woodbury at Old Lyme in Class S - have also been pushed back to today. All three games will begin at 7 p.m.

The CIAC Division III hockey tournament game with NFA-St. Bernard-Bacon at Sheehan of Wallingford was also postponed until today. It will be played at Trinity College in Hartford beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Also, the CIAC Class LL and Class S diving championships were also postponed. The Class S meet will be held at East Lyme today at 5:30 p.m. The Class LL meet has been moved to Monday at Middletown High School, also at 5:30 p.m.
