Sunday's concert performance of the Verdi Requiem produced by the Connecticut Lyric Opera has been moved two blocks down State Street to the First Congregational Chuch of New London. The performance will still take place at 4 p.m. as scheduled.
The performance is in celebration of the opera company's 10 years of productions, and artitistic director Adrian Sylveen says he selected the Verdi Requiem in part because this is the 200th anniversary of the composer's birth.
The requiem will be performed Saturday in New Britain and features the Connecticut Virtuosi Orchestra, soprano Jurate Svedaite-Waller, and an 85-voice chorus with singers from Connecticut Lyric Opera, New Britain Chorale, Polonia-Paderewski Choir, and Capella Cantorum.
A new policy by CVS Pharmacy requires all employees on its health plan to disclose vital information -- such as weight, body fat and glucose levels -- or pay a monthly fine of $50. What do you think?
