Ledyard - Route 214 is back open after it was shut down overnight due to a one-car accident.
The accident occurred at around 3 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Avery Hill. Sgt. Thomas Olsen said the driver suffered minor injuries and that speed was a factor in the crash.
No arrests were made. Traffic was diverted through a cemetery at Avery Hill Extension.
The state Department of Transportation reported that the road was back open at 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
A new policy by CVS Pharmacy requires all employees on its health plan to disclose vital information -- such as weight, body fat and glucose levels -- or pay a monthly fine of $50. What do you think?
