Rock rock rock in New London

Published March 28. 2013 4:00AM

Don't hold your breath or put the windshield frost-scrapers back in the garage til next October. Not yet.

But the thaw is coming, and Saturday might be a good time to practice what might be known as the Rock Hop - a musical pub crawl wherein the Thirsty Listener moves from one venue to the next to get a maximum sampling of tunes.

For your consideration, then, see if you can hit all of the following shows - but drive safely!

• Bedroom Rehab Corporation headlines New London's Oasis Pub on a bill that includes Harborlights and Warm. Expect glorious gloom, ambient sludgery, and full-throttle power.

• New York's all-female metal tribute act, Thunderbox, featuring New London native Natalie Mustang, performs at the Brown Derby in Uncasville.

• Sinner's Inc. - long-popular in the area under the name Brewzer - return in this new guise to the Bank Street Cafe for a night of maximum volume and speed-riffage.

- RICK KOSTER
