Sen. Art Linares will hold a Town Hall Meeting at the Old Saybrook Town Hall's first floor conference room on Thursday, April 4 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
"The meeting is open to the public, and I look forward to meeting with Old Saybrook taxpayers," Sen. Linares said. "I'll take your questions and discuss our efforts at the State Capitol to make Connecticut more business-friendly. I've held similar town hall meetings in Clinton, Deep River, Essex, and Westbrook, and I have found these discussions to be very helpful and informative. I take your ideas and concerns and bring them with me to the State Capitol."
Sen. Linares is supporting several pro-business measures, including a bill to eliminate the state?s business entity tax, a bill to cancel a gas tax hike slated for July, and a bill which provides incentives for college and technical school graduates to establish a new business in the state. He has also stood firmly against a proposal to put a tax on home heating oil.
Those who cannot attend may contact Sen. Linares at Art.Linares@cga.ct.gov or at (800) 842 1421.
