Local residents having trouble paying their mortgage can explore options during a day-long forum at the Omni New Haven Hotel in New Haven.
The state-backed event from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. next Wednesday is sponsored by Attorney General George Jepsen, Banking Commissioner Howard F. Pitkin and Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.
Jepsen said more than 5,000 borrowers have received some form of mortgage relief since March 1 of last year.
Free parking will be available at the One Temple Street Garage and the 213 Crown Street Garage.
