Stores and restaurants in downtown Mystic will celebrate spring on Saturday, May 4, with a host of events and promotions from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
People are invited to get their hands dirty at the "Plant a Seed" table outside Tidal River Clothing. Peppergrass & Tulip will host an arts & crafts table for children of all ages. The Green Elephant will offer face painting.
You can meet local authors at Bank Square Books, and Blue Horse and Mystic Army Navy Store will host a book signing featuring Captain Bill Palmer from Thunderfish Video Productions. The work of local artisans can be viewed during the final day of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts 102nd Show at the Mystic Arts Center. The Courtyard Gallery will be offering art demonstrations throughout the day and an art auction at 3 p.m.
Experience the GeoHistorian Project, a new history project done as a collaboration between the Mystic River Historical Society and local students. Special Olympics of Connecticut will be at the Mystic & Noank Library to display their Unified Art Program.
