A note of appreciation is due David Collins for his April 17 column, "Apartment project at Fort Trumbull: Will it happen?" concerning the great mystery of Fort Trumbull apartments. Indeed those involved in this venture, particularly New London Mayor Finizio, owe the public a full disclosure of its status.

The philosopher George Santayana nailed it when he warned; "A civilization which does not learn from the errors of history is destined to repeat those errors."
