So far, this has been an astounding century. In 2000, a panel of experts fed data into an advanced computer and determined that the three most unlikely events to happen in the next hundred years would be:
• The Boston Red Sox would win a World Series.
• Kim Kardashian would break up with a boyfriend.
• Rush would be voted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.
Well, the "experts" have been humbled - perhaps most by the fact that Rush, the Canadian prog/power trio, was inducted last month into the hall to rapturous applause.
This adds an even more celebratory air to the Rush appearance tonight in the Mohegan Sun Arena. The band - as always, Neil Peart, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson - are continuing on tour in support of their 2012 album "Clockwork Angels," a typically heady and creative work that debuted at #2 on the Billboard charts.
