Softball Keeps Postseason Hopes Alive with Two Wins

Following a 16-1 rout of Hillhouse on May 6, the Indians' softball squad defeated Hamden 14-1 on May 10 to improve its record to 5-12 and keep its bid for a state tournament appearance alive.

Guilford exploded for 10 runs in the first inning against the Green Dragons as Gabie Lanouette went 3-for-4 with four runs scored and Morgan King hit 4-for-5 to propel Guilford.

The Indians now need three wins in the campaign's final trio of contests to gain a state tournament berth. Following a matchup versus Branford on May 13, the Indians traveled to Hand the next day before finishing the regular season on Monday, May 20 against Sacred Heart Academy at Bittner Park.
