The Southeastern Connecticut Entrepreneurs and Emerging Business Council has a new presence on the Internet.
The group, an outgrowth of the Southeastern Connecticut Entrepreneur Network formed last year, is now associated with the Southeastern Connecticut Enterprise Region, the area's chief economic-development agency. The website links off www.secter.org. The group formed in response to a call by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy to form innovation hubs around the state.
The network focuses on helping local consultants and startups make connections in the region. It plans to seek industry, governmental and academic support, conduct informational sessions and celebrate local successes.
