R.I. motorcyclist killed in North Stonington crash

North Stonington — A North Kingston, R.I. man was killed Sunday night when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on Cossaduck Hill Road.

According to state police, Brandon Burns, 24, was driving his 2013 Ducati motorcycle south near 280 Cossaduck Hill Road at 7:16 p.m. when he crossed into the northbound lane while trying to negotiate a curve and struck the front of pickup truck driven by Aleides Silva, 42, of Norwich.

Burns was pronounced dead at the scene and Silva was treated and released from The William W. Backus Hospital. State police are investigating the crash.
