Ledyard — A Ledyard woman was arrested for drunken driving Sunday after police said she fled the scene of an accident in the area of Routes 117 and 214.

Tracey L. Traystman, 40, of 113 Spicer Hill Road, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading responsibility and failure to obey a traffic signal.

Police said the accident was reported at 9:11 p.m. Police were able to track down Traystman at her home.

Police said that Traystman was driving northbound on Route 117 when she drove through a red traffic signal and struck a car turning left from Route 214 onto Route 117. Police said Traystman fled the scene.

The driver of the second car, Stephanie A. Miller, of Seaside Heights, N.J., was taken to the William W. Backus for treatment of minor injuries.
