H.S. all-star football game is Saturday

Those looking for a football fix can get one Saturday as many of the state's top senior high school players will compete in the inaugural Military Bowl/Hall of Fame Senior High School All-Star Football Game will be held at Rentschler Field (4:30 p.m.)

Bobby Bozym (Ledyard), Cal Karpi (Ledyard), Sam Miranda (New London), Ben Morales (Ledyard), Ryan Murtha (Montville), Mustapha Noibi (Fitch), Brandon Robertson (Montville), Lester Smith (Fitch), and Kyle Wilson (Ledyard) will compete for the National Guard team. Ledyard's Jim Buonocore is the head coach, and Jemal Davis (NFA) and Tanner Grove (Montville) are two of the assistants.

Caleb Camacho (New London), Mike Semancik (Fitch), Lamont Waites (New London), and David Willox (Waterford) will play for Team Marines. Rob Fleeting of Windsor is the head coach, and New London's Duane Maranda is an assistant.

Tickets are $8 and parking is free. The lots open at 2:30 p.m. and the stadium gates an hour later.
