    Four injured, one seriously, in fight at motorcycle club

    New London -- Four people were injured early this morning during "a large violent fight" at the Wild Style Motorcycle Club's clubhouse on Bank Street, according to police.

    A 27-year-old New London resident was slashed across the abdomen by an unknown assailant and suffered life-threatening injuries, police said. He was transferred to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

    Also injured were a 28-year-old Guilford resident, who was struck about the face and head with a large wooden object; a 31-year-old New London resident, who suffered a laceration to his ear and neck, and a 33-year-old New London resident, who broke his leg while fleeing from the area where the fight was taking place.

    Police did not release the names of the injured.

    Police received numerous 911 calls at 3:30 a.m. reporting a stabbing on Bank Street. After discovering the stabbing victim, they learned that several other injured people were at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital. The fight began inside the motorcycle club at 130 Bank St. and then spilled out into the parking lot and South Water Street, police said.
