Branford Police officers are actively investigating two pedestrians, one of whom was in a wheelchair, that were struck by a vehicle just before 11 a.m. today in the private parking lot at 1075 West Main Street.

Both victims were treated by Branford Fire Department paramedics and transported immediately to an area hospital.
“One of the victims sustained major injuries.” said Lt. Kris Hormuth, who is supervising the investigation. “We are using both Officer Jay Kaufman and Bret Johnson, who are the department’s accident reconstruction officers to piece together evidence and statements to determine the facts and circumstances of this crash.”
At this point, no one has been charged in the investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information should contact either Officer Kaufman or Johnson at the Branford Police Department immediately at 203-481-4241.
