Libertarian candidates petition for Norwich City Council ballot spots

Norwich – A slate of Libertarian candidates will be on the November for mayor and city council, as a petition filed on behalf of five council candidates was verified Wednesday by the city clerk.

Libertarian mayoral candidate William Russell, who had petitioned previously to be placed on the ballot, submitted petitions Tuesday and today on behalf of Ashley Pryski, Kyle DeGray, Michael Holman, Chandler Alfred Jr. and Cynthia Shook.

City Clerk Betsy Barrett verified 36 signatures as valid. The group needed 29 signatures of registered Norwich voters to be placed on the ballot.

"Our whole team is on the ballot," Russell said after the petitions were verified.
