Okay, so I know we have a lot of issues in New London that are more pressing. But if you know the Lighthouse Inn as it was or imagine it as it can be, or know that it needs to be sold, please take a drive by Lower Boulevard and see what has become of that grand old estate. See how the weeds and grass and piles of debris litter the lawn and the overgrowth provides a haven for small animals and rodents that roam around in animal bliss. The city owns it now. The neighbors have to look at the mess every day and anyone remotely interested in buying it would not be able to see the forest for the trees. New London, we owe it to the city to clean it up and let it shine so that its majestic days can be brought back.
